As reported by Armin in the forums it's not obvious that the config is applied.

If you configure the Mail Relay plugin (and it says that it succeeded) but then go back into the config, it is blanked out and shows the default (unconfigured) config. It would be better if it showed your existing config, so that it is obvious that it's configured (and can easily be edited if need be).
