Current Behavior

I'm having issues with TrueNas Electric Eel. The problem is when you install from the 'App store' it requires a 32 character "app key". I found in the documentation for Docker to run the command line for the "app key". I went to the shell of the container and ran the command and received a code. The issue is that it is longer than 32 characters. I've tried to modify the command to get it to output a 32 character key without success.

I don't know how to use "Github" or how to get all that info. I'm just looking for help. I've been Googling for hours. I don't Github or Discord or whatever else. If I did, I'd be able to figure this out. Just because I didn't follow the form, doesn't mean it's "Invalid".

All that Docker CLI and stuff is all built into TrueNas Community Edition, which is why I use it. I think you know that, but apparently busting my chops was more important.

I don't know square one of Linux. Last command line I learned was DOS.

None of us use TrueNas CE, so we don't necessarily know that. those boxes exists for us to understand what's happening under the hood, as there is tons of guis and frameworks out there to create containers. Screenshots of the pages TrueNas exposes to you might help.

I had the same issue; you need to use a play raw key of 32 characters.
For example, you can use this website:
https://generate-random.org/laravel-key-generator

and use the "Original String"

This is a BUG in TrueNAS, which doesn't allow the regular APP KEY format of Laravel
