provide individual meeting session information view

Currently, all the information about any particular session is available only via the main meeting agenda view (e.g. https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/105/agenda/) that lists all the information for all the sessions.

It would be useful to provide a view for each individual session via its on URL. E.g. for the ACME session at IETF 105, it would be useful to have a URL something like: https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/105/agenda/acme/ that would display the information for just that session. For groups with multiple sessions at a meeting, the URL would display all the information for all the meetings.

https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/105/session/acme is close, but it doesn't provide the links to the jabber room, etherpad, meetecho, etc. It might be nicer to have a page that returns the row(s) for just that group that look the same as they look on the main agenda page.

And there should be a way to browse to these instead of knowing how to type their URL

There are a couple of views that are similar to this request - the session page that's "close", and the main agenda page can be filtered to show the schedule for a particular group (though it shows some additional events by default). Is this enhancement needed in addition to these, or should those views be modified to meet these requirements?

E.g., the table rows could be added to the session view, or the interface to the agenda customization could be tweaked to make it easier to show only a particular group's events.

If it's needed as a separate view, do you have thoughts on where a link to it would sensibly fit in to the interface? Perhaps as a "By group" tab on the agenda list?

My thoughts on this is that the closest we come to this is a particular view of the overall agenda that doesn't now have its own URL. Look for instance at https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/106/agenda/#2019-11-18-080000 : On the line for "ippm", the last row of the 10:00 slot, there's a button with two crossed double-arrows, which if clicked will bring up an overlay showing Group name, session time, chairs and secretaries, agenda (if any), links to slides (if any) and minutes (if any).

Making that view, for the latest or currently running meeting, available as a new tab on the group
page, and also available purely by URL for all main IETF meetings seems to come close to what is wanted. Re-using as much view and template code from that pop-up would make enhancements to the pop-up carry over to the tab / URL-only view (or vice versa).

The requester may also have had the equivalent agenda page on tools.ietf.org in mind, e.g., https://tools.ietf.org/wg/ippm/agenda?item=agenda-106-ippm-03.html

We already have a meetings tab for a group. Instead of another tab there, I suggest a link to what Henrik is suggesting at the top of that meetings tab. Or, if it's reasonable (keep rendering time in mind), just show the current meeting information at the top of the meetings tab.

I also want to make sure we don't put too much focus on just the current meeting. People should be able to reasonably get to and see these things for past meetings as well. So having the same link or embedded display on the individual meeting materials pages such as https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/105/session/acme is desirable.

Jennifer - does this provide enough for you to move forward?

It is still not clear to me whether a new page is needed or whether it would be satisfactory to add the jabber/meetecho/etherpad links to the session_details view (e.g., https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/106/session/ippm). That view would then, I think, contain everything requested. It is also already linked from the group meetings tab in the places you described (as "Materials" for each meeting).

The agenda overlay that Henrik pointed out has, I believe, the same content, but with the agenda and minutes rendered inline. For the (few?) groups that have multiple sessions at a meeting, I guess that might be a bit unwieldy.

So, essentially: would this request be met by adding the requested links to the session_details view?

If not, then I think I am not understanding something about the requirements or the use case and will need a bit more guidance.

I think it would be sufficient to start with the session details view, and not create a new view.

After we see the results, we can build on it later if a new view is required.

Provide agenda-like details on session meeting view. Change the link to the calendar entry on interim meetings to be a button instead, to provide consistency and fix formatting issues vis-a-vis the new details in the session view. Fixes #2751. Commit ready for merge.
