RFC 8179 was recently published, obsoleting RFC 3979 and RFC 4879. The references on https://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/ and https://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/about/ should be updated accordingly.

I think this requires s new field for 8179 in IprDisclosureBase, or changing the current field to be multi-valued, in order to be able to reflect the claimed compliance with 3979 for old disclosures, while applying 8179 to new ones.

Templates, forms, and code logic for updates to existing disclosures also needs to change to handle multiple possible compliance values.

It looks as if 4879 being obsoleted will require only template changes.
