I'm looking at some of the unresolved NomCom tickets and am trying to understand this one. Could you give me a URL or other pointer to where specifically you are encountering this problem? Looking at the NomCom nomination page, I see no reference to the term "user". If you could clarify your ticket, I'd appreciate it. Apologies for taking this long to get around to looking at this!

Hi Peter -

This isn't talking about text on a template page - it's talking about what objects are referenced in the code. For instance, at https://trac.tools.ietf.org/tools/ietfdb/browser/tags/6.87.1/ietf/nomcom/models.py#L98, the Nomination object has a ForeignKey into User objects. That would be better as a key into a Person object (to simplify queries, and to simplify what has to be done when we merge Person objects.) There are many similar models that would also need to be adjusted.
