Setting up a Dev Environment

Perform a manual install of a web server, PHP, database server, and TimeTracker.

The recommended application server stack is WSL Ubuntu with Apache2, PHP 8.3 and MariaDb 15.1.

Docker was supported at the end of 2023 but has not been maintained since. To user Docker, install docker and docker-compose first and then run a dev instance:

docker-compose up

Navigate to: http://localhost:8080 to use Time Tracker. Default credentials for initial login are:

usr: admin
psw: secret
