Question: Is there a specific reason why there are no official Docker images available?

Hi @alexjustesen,

First of all, I want to thank you for the 🐇 Speedtest Tracker. I just discovered it and I'm really happy with it!

I have a question: Is there a specific reason why there are no official Docker images available? I noticed that you have an image called ghcr.io/alexjustesen/speedtest-tracker:v0.19.0, but it’s quite outdated. Would you consider updating and maintaining your own image?

Currently, I’m using the images mentioned in the Getting Started Guide, namely lscr.io/linuxserver/speedtest-tracker:latest from LinuxServer.io. I do prefer a official images from the developer themselves, unless you are maintaining these images from LinuxServer.io yourself?.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!

Way back when I didn't have the time to also maintain an image + application so I asked the LSIO team if they'd package it up for me. I am considering bring it back but at the moment it "ain't broke" so probably "won't fix it" type of thing...

It was a security concern on my part, since the LSIO team already maintains over 170 containers.

But I understand your side too—if you’re really busy, this is definitely easier. Thanks for your response.

IMO the fleet they maintain is a strength to me, they've had a solid track record of delivering slim, maintained and secure images.

If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have used the software or contributed to your project.
