Do I add ping tests?

As it says on the tin, are ping tests useful to help you monitor your WAN health?

Ping latency would be a very useful metric as it can be used to show contention to an ISP in the event of an issue.

I'm using Orb (orb.net) currently and it's main metric is ping latency, with packet loss but, there's no histogram to graphically illustrate response over time. Thus it has limited value.

Yes please add constant nonstop 24/7 ping monitoring. I wanted to make this suggestion but found this thread.
